While I do laps.....The Lentz Trio enjoys Clearwater Festival and Bike Va. Can't say I missed out on the ride....but the music at Clearwater....Joan Osborn and Josh Ritter..........My hair is green with envy.....no that is the chlorine.

Josh Ritter @ Croton-on-Hudson, NY

Music for the soul and Bike VA for mental toughness....Camping would have broken me the first night......

Looks innocent enough in all that sunshine, but temps were soaring, and the most character building feature of all was A FREIGHT TRAIN RAN THROUGH IT HOURLY!

Oh the Luxuries!
On the plus side the food received rave reviews. Vegan and Vegetarian Friendly! Caterer out of North Carolina ( if anyone knows the name of the company let me know) served fresh, delicious meals 3 times a day. Many thanks to the great staff!!!

Can't leave out Ted's sherpa service, he supplied tents and all the accouterments!
Depending on which Lentz you speak to the course was either flat, rolling hills, or mountainous grades. All agree to disagree about next years event. Going, opting out, motel, or campsite...why not go to Barcelona or Luxembourg instead?
Another plus; the scenery was beautiful, Berryville, Shepherdstown, and Harpers Ferry. Bountiful rest stops and great people volunteering at them, much appreciated by all the riders. At one stop a volunteer was serenaded by three bikers!

Artisinal highlights of the trip were found at these vegan and primate friendly eating establishments: Canal House Cafe, http://www.canalhousecafe.com/  in Harpers Ferry, Boyd's Nest Family Restaurant in Berryville, Mellow Moods Juice Bar, http://www.mellowmoodsjuicebar.com/Home_Page.html, in Sheperdstown, and Stoney Brook Organic Farm,

I still can't believe it;  so many firsts for the Primate:
the wearing of flip flops, massage, communal showers, ride in a Yellow School Bus, leaving his bike unattended, drinking of ze beet juice too...OMG.

Bike Virginia!
